Posted by BillyC on Jun-22-2008

homebrew, Wii, Nintendo, Wii Freeloader, People, do not fear the new Wii firmware update from Nintendo that is said to block the Wii Freeloader! Hackers have found a way around the Twilight Hack killer and have their hacks up and running again. The homebrew community is up and running again and people are working on a solution for Datel’s Wii Freeloader as well. So don’t be affraid and get the Wii Freeloader if you haven’t got one yet!

  1. Roxas Said,

Well, then, how do we get the hack?!?!

  2. Miguel Said,

Hi. I have a freeloader for euro consoles, will this disc ever work again or do I have to buy a new one? Thanks

  3. Alex Said,

It might, I hope it does! I want Naruto EX2, and GNT4. I wish they would get it done, it would cheer up those thousands of people and piss off Nintendo again, watch, right after they find out, a month later or before Nintendo will try and force another update.

  4. David Said,

Hi Wacka, When & Where can I get the hack? Many Thanks!

  5. Dr T Said,

where can one get the previous firmware of wii and reload it, to enable the freeloader to work ?
instead of hacking the wii ?

where can one download the freeloader hack ? to enable it to work on the updated wii firmware ?

  6. Prince_101 Said,

    how to do this ?

  7. Nik Said,

Not sure what Nintendo intended with this latest firmware update but I will now resign my Wii to the cupboard and replace it with my trusty Gamecube instead so I can continue to play my old games. Congrats Nintendo - you managed to stop me from buying any new Wii titles - at least it will save me some money!!

  8. John Said,

I hope they fix freeloader cause i wanna play Tatsunoko vs Capcom when it comes out

  9. F!sh911 Said,

…yes, f–king mad, got one game as a gift and yes now it won’t work anymore, dammit…. should I boycot Nintendo and buy playstation instead - hee - that could hurt Nintendo, yee, campaign againt Nintendo, want them to suffer also.

Hmm yes if getting rid of that firmware maybe i could survive… perhaps Nintendo too.. Any hints?

  15. sasuke Said,

so how long will it take for the next free loader to come out?

  16. e Said,

i got a question im in the us and i want to purchase the free loader which one do i buy the us one ?????? dumb question and what if i didnt upgrade my firmware am i still good to purchase this loader

  17. Nikki G Said,

Hi, Just bought Freeloader for our Wii (US console) and want to play PAL games as now living in Europe. Keep getting error message - Wii not connected to web therefore no new updates. Could the firmware still be more recent to disc as Wii bought last December in HK. Bought software in Dubai (Carrefour) this week??? Please help, my son is desparate to play the latest Wolverine game (PAL). What do I do?

  18. Stelera Said,

I, like Alex, want to play Naruto EX 2, but my Wii forced an update for my mom’s Wii Fit… My question is, when will Wii FreeLoader work again, and if and when it does, can I disconnect my Wii from the Internet to prevent a future forced update? I really just want to play that Naruto game with as little hassel as possible… I have a US console and have not yet purchased FreeLoader and want to know if it will help at all before making the investment… I don’t know if the game will be released in US ever. If not, I’d just like an efficient way around the firmware without the hassle of actually hacking my system… any tips?
