Yesterday we reported that a new Nintendo Wii update breaks Freeloader software, which is very bad news for a lot of PAL users. It was unknown if this was an accident or something done on purpose by [tag]Nintendo[/tag] to have a good laugh with game importers. Nintendo said to Eurogamer that [tag]Datel[/tag]’s [tag]GameCube Freeloader[/tag] isn’t an official product approved by [tag]Nintendo[/tag], so they’re not planning to fix the system software to make our [tag]Freeloader[/tag] work again.

A new [tag]Wii[/tag] firmware update from [tag]Nintendo[/tag] made a few [tag]Wii[/tag]-systems freak out when you insert a Freeloader. A lot of people are complaining that the new system software is breaking their [tag]GameCube Freeloader[/tag]. [tag]Nintendo[/tag] didn’t announce this feature in the new firmware update, and some people think [tag]Nintendo[/tag] didn’t do it on purpose. Whatever the cause of this error is, it sucks for people who used to use their [tag]Freeloader[/tag] on their Wii.
